Mr. Fenyk was born in Marion, Virginia, on July 25, 1962.  In 1984, he completed his undergraduate education at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, by obtaining his Bachelor of Business Administration.  During the process of obtaining his B.B.A., Mr. Fenyk completed a triple major in Management Information Systems, Marketing, and Management, while at the same time completing a minor in Economics.

In Decemeber 1990, Mr. Fenyk obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at Memphis State University.  While pursuing his Juris Doctorate, Mr. Fenyk was a Graduate Assistant for Professor Nicholas White, former Dean of the Law School.  Additionally, he was a member of the Memphis State Law Review and he competed in numerous Moot Court and Mock Trial competitions.  Following his graduation, he sat for and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in the Spring of 1991.

Mr. Fenyk is a member of the Virginia State Bar Association and a member of the American Bar Association.  He is also a member of the Smyth County Bar, and served as its Secretary for the term of  1991-1992.  Mr. Fenyk is also active in his community, and he is a member of the Marion Rotary Club, which provides many services to his community.
